Performance Review Template 101
To be able to help you monitor your manpower, you will need a Performance Review Template. In this review template, you need to make sure that you have the following:
1) Scoring- Make sure that you clearly explain how the scoring works. If you are using stars, say that 5 stars is the highest rating that you can give and 1 star is the lowest. If you are using numbers 1 to 5 as your way of scoring, tell them that 1 is the highest and 5 is the lowest or vice versa. What does 1, 3 or 5 mean? For instance, 1 means fail and 3 would mean average and 5 would mean the best. Just state the meaning of the points clearly.
2) Objectives- Make sure that you also tell people what this review is for. Some employees think that they are getting fired and they are nervous about it. Just say that the goal of this scheme is to make sure that the employees are working well and to see what aspects they need to improve on.
